Honey I’m Home (2010)

Honey, I'm Home was filmed in the fall of 2009. Starring Alexander Trotsky and Stefanie Harmon, the concept was to create as short film under three minutes in length. I filmed this using a Canon GL2 camera and edited it on a new Macbook Pro using Final Cut Draft.

Contains Magic (2008)
Contains Magic, is short film that I directed for a film course titled Foundations of Motion Picture Production during the fall of 2008 at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
The objective for the assignment was to experience all the various aspect of producing a short film, such as screen writing, location scouting, casting, catering, storyboards, shot list, etc.
This story was written by Graham Hughes, who is also the lead actor, and is about a student who discovers that he new laptop has magical powers that allow it to alter things inside his universe.

User Friendly (2007)
This short was made for a Motion Picture Production course in the fall of 2007, while I was attending Valencia Community College in Orlando, FL. After having completed the short films The User and THE QUESTion music video for the same course, the final was that the entire class would participate in making one five minute short together. Each class member would be assigned a specific duty. I was assigned the duty of directing the short film that the class was going to make.
The class decided on a story about game boy device that has the power to control the person who last had possession of it. The three leading character's, or those who actually control the game boy, worked on the film for free as favors. The rest of the cast are students from the class.
We had roughly three weeks to complete the video. Many of the locations are the same from THE QUESTion music video that I shot prior to this. This video was filmed entirely at the east campus at Valencia Community College in Orlando.

THE QUESTion (2007)
This short film was produced for a Motion Picture Production course that I attended in the fall of 2007, at the Valencia Community College in Orlando, FL. The objective for the assignment was to shoot a music video. We had roughly one month to put together a music video from scratch. This video is inspired by the song THE QUESTion, performed by S.K.I.P. of Nonsense. S.K.I.P. of Nonsense is a independent music artist in Orlando, FL. The song come from his newest album that he was looking to promote. We produced the video independent and didn't require a commission so long as S.K.I.P. of Nonsense allowed us to use the song.
The entire creation of the video came from the minds of Gina McDowell, Sam Muniz, Lawrence Odum, and myself. Each of us played various roles in the aspect of production, thus we share many of the credits, such as the directing credit.
This music video does not follow the conventional traditions of a music video. As many videos would cut away from a narrative, or simply show the artist performing a song in various locations and then edit them together in a quick montage style. Here the artist, S.K.I.P. of Nonsense is never seen performing the song. There is a clear narrative that is being told, and S.K.I.P. of Nonsense felt that we shouldn't break away from that story.
The main character is played by Wes Tsukazan. We first had seen Wes Tsukazan in another independent short that was selected for the Film Slam Festival held at the Enzian Theater in Orlando. We spoke of our ideas of the video and he performed in it as a favor to us without any commission. The entire video was filmed at Valencia Community College's east campus.
As an independent video it was extremely challenging, difficult, and certainly a lot of fun.

The User (2007)
This short was made for a Motion Picture Production course in the fall of 2007, while I was attending Valencia Community College in Orlando, FL. The objective for the assignment was to shoot a video without the use of sound and no editing be allowed. We shot the short in sequential order and every shot was the first and only take. Even the titles at the beginning were not edited in. The titles are pieces of paper that I printed titles on, hung on the wall, and the photographed.
Since, the class I have edited the video so that the cuts are sharper and on point more so than the in-camera edited version.
